Biosomeone left their bleeding heart on my shelf
it's not mine, because mine can be traced
into the seams of my sleeve
longing to be embraced
i doubt i'm familiar with the owner
but he waits in vain for me to find him
but it is he who will find me
because the restlessness of his soul
will eat away til the heart is restored
so that he can finally be whole
so til then i long for more
hoping to be taken
because two strikes have hit
and i've not been shaken
this damn throne of stone
is causing me to turn concrete as well
forced to feel cold and tangled
stuck with the burning desire to be held
...in the arms of a man
i thought this was an easy road
easier than life but if that was true
this road was not worth living for
with the sleazy remains of the previous two
the void in me is the sole reason
for every wreck that's come and gone
truth may have been there but like the changing season
the light of the situation never lasts too long
while this bleeding, beating heart rests on my shelf
mine stays protected in the seams of my sleeve
so while the wanderer refuses to rest
until his unkept heart is finally retrieved
i find it best not to rest either
until he brings me clarity
naive in not knowing, that along with his heart
he may take mine
with my restless love to recieve
